Facilities
The facilities at Laguna Island Ranch allow us to provide optimal care for all of our animals. We provide a complete riding and training facility with safety and proper care being our goal. You will find clean stables and exceptional animal care throughout the ranch.
Barn
The main
barn has eight, 12 x 16 stalls,
each with a 16 x 24 run.
Every stall has an automatic water
trough. Also
included in the barn is a tack
room, vet room, office, and laundry room.
Mare
Motel
The
mare motel has eight, covered
24x24 pens which are
open on the sides to allow maximum
ventilation.
Covered
Work Area
There
is a 64 x 60 covered work area
to tie horses while they
are being saddled. Wash racks
are included near this area.
Pastures
Thirty
acres of pasture provide grazing
for our broodmares and cattle,
in addition to extra space for
the cow dog.
Hay
Barn
The hay barn protects the hay and provides a home for the ranch cats.
Ranch
Shop
The ranch shop provides storage for the equipment necessary to maintain our facility.
Covered
Arena
The covered arena is approximately 150’ x 280’. It provides shelter from the sun during the summer and the rain in the winter.
Round
Pen
The round pen has a 160’ diameter and is excellent for working young horses on cattle.
Small
Round Pen
The 50’ small round pen is helpful for warming up young horses.
Cutting pen
The 120’ X 120’ square pen provides an opportunity to work horses in a show-like situation.
Track
The track is 24’ wide and is ½ mile long. It provides an opportunity to exercise horses outside the arenas.
